Wi-Fi Calling During a Power Outage: Router Backup for Apartments

Wi-Fi calling does not run on the phone alone. In an apartment, the powered path may include the phone, Wi-Fi router, cable modem, fiber ONT, or combined gateway. In a larger building, there may also be a telecom closet, shared fiber cabinet, powered coax amplifier, or ISP equipment you cannot control. That is the first drill: unplug wall power, put the modem/router/gateway stack on backup, place one phone on Wi-Fi calling, and make a normal non-emergency test call. If the call fails, fix the path before buying a booster.

Most renters have ordinary AC network gear, not a 12V router neatly ready for a USB-C cable. That is where a small power station fits.
